ThomasMittemeyer
Greetings! My name is Tom Mittemeyer and thank you for visiting my art page. Most of the work here is digital, and a few of the pieces were created on illustration board with pencil and inks. . All the digital work is created in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Quark Xpress.
Represented herein is a collaboration of freelance, on-the-job, abstract, sports and music thematic compositions, architectural renderings. Some of the work is done for band/artist websites where there are galleries to show your work that relates to the artist(s). Some of the work is self-education that I don't get at work. I'm always looking to stretch the boundaries and educate myself more that I am afforded on the job.
I work in many styles, have many ideas, and through the use of the relativity theory, utilize components from past pieces into future pieces of they lend themselves properly to the new work. Sometimes I will take different elements and completely change the look in a new creation. In such much of my work is all part of the same family, though it may have a completely different feel and look.
I am a self taught artist in most all aspects, but have gained much knowledge in graphics and graphic production through work/on-the-job experience. I have a BFA degree from New Mexico State University with an emphasis in drawing. I have worked through the years in graphics production, design, and in the printing industry as a prepress technician. Knowledge of everything from layouts to execution to giving the printer files that make their prepress department happy. I have the full spectrum in the graphics process from A to Z.
Some of my recent interests are architectural renderings and a look into the future of the city of Portland. Herein are several works showing what the downtown core will look like with current projects underway and some that are on-the-table. I also am interested in and in my free time experimenting with textile art. My pointillism work when set in patterns provide a look for clothing that has not been done yet. At least I/or others I've shown examples of have seen it. I also enjoy sports illustration.
There is no particular order to any of the work here. I've mixed them so that the abstract work, brochures, flyers, logos, experimental work and all the rest is mixed together, as opposed to categorizing them. I hope you enjoy the work.
